Manager, Ammonia Trade

About the Unit

Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) is a global segment within Yara with the objective to commercialize, develop and capture growth opportunities within clean hydrogen and ammonia production, transport, market and distribution. The unit includes activities related to Upstream Projects &Technology, Commercial development of New Markets for Ammonia, Trade & Shipping, Product & Portfolio Management, and Central Expert and Support functions. To fully develop the business potential, the segment will also explore partnerships and collaboration with external parties, while ensuring the important role that ammonia plays in Yara’s integrated business model.

Responsibilities

- Execute sales contracts, discuss deliveries with customers, follow up
- Market intelligence about regional supply and demand, pricing, shipping
- Regular contact with Yara’s production plant, follow up production plan
- Logistics planning and scenario building
- Support the Trade Director with ad hoc market information, freight calculations

Profile

- Higher education in international commerce, economics or similar
- Minimum 5 years experience in commodity trading
- Ammonia/LPG trading experience is a strong plus
- Trade contract understanding
- Experience with freight calculations, time-charterparty clauses, logistical constraints
- Negotiation skills
- International competence and cultural understanding
- Solid business acumen, ease to create and maintain professional relationships
- Fluency in English (Fluency in Chinese is a plus to liaise with overseas customers)
