Responsibilities
The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Nubariya
plant to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production and dispatch of fertilizer products in
line with approved production plans, quality requirements, and budgeted costs.
The role ensures effective coordination of people, equipment, materials, utilities, contractors,
and site services so that production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and cost
objectives are consistently achieved.
The Plant Manager leads daily plant execution through Production, Maintenance, Warehouse,
and site support functions, resolves operational issues, and escalates risks or constraints to the
Site Director as required.

Golden Rules.
● Ensure that all plant operations comply with HSE, environmental, quality, and lab release requirements.
● Fully respect and enforce stop-work or stop-production decisions issued by HESQ, Quality, or Lab functions.
● Ensure incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions are reported and investigated in line with company
requirements.
● Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions following safety or quality incidents.
● Serve as a role model for safety compliance, operational discipline, and safe leadership behavior.

● Enforce attendance, discipline, and standard work fairly and consistently.
● Identify capability gaps and coordinate training and staffing needs with HR.

● Own the day-to-day operational performance of the plant against approved production plans (safety, volume, quality,
cost, and delivery).
● Chair the daily operations meeting to review safety alerts, production performance, downtime, risks, and agreed
actions.
● Ensure effective shift handovers and enforcement of standard operating procedures through the department
managers to maintain stable and predictable plant operation.
● Approve and align weekly and daily production plans prepared by the Production Manager, ensuring feasibility and
resource availability.
● Remove operational constraints impacting execution by coordinating actions across Production, Maintenance,
Warehouse, and support functions.
● Lead production through the Production Manager by setting priorities and holding accountability, without direct shift
supervision.
● Monitor operating costs, challenge inefficiencies, and work with Finance and Purchasing on cost variances, service
contracts, and energy consumption without compromising safety or quality.
External Relations & Governance
● Represent the plant in interactions with local authorities, regulators, and external auditors.
● Coordinate site inspections, audits, and official visits, and ensure timely closure of findings.
● Maintain operational inputs to site registrations, permits, and renewals with support from HESQ, HR, and Finance.
● Act as the primary on-site point of contact for operational issues with external parties, including utilities and
community stakeholders where required.
● Escalate major incidents, regulatory risks, repeated breakdowns, or production threats to the Site Director with clear
facts and recovery plans.
Profile
Education
● Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
