About the Position
Marketing & Agronomy manager is responsible for leading the Marketing & Agronomy team within the Commercial Unit, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This role entails the strategic planning, development, and execution of the marketing initiatives that align with the company’s vision, mission, towards a sustainable growth. Drives the end-to-end development of the local agenda in close collaboration with the Managing Director and Sales Managers.
This position reports to the Managing Director of Yara Hellas being a member of Yara Hellas management team
Responsibilities
- Team Management & Leadership: Responsible for leading, developing, and empowering a high-performing marketing team. This includes setting clear objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture. Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess marketing effectiveness and ROI and adapts strategies accordingly. Identify skill gaps mentoring team members and implements training and development initiatives to enhance individual and collective capabilities.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conducts research to understand customer/farmer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Product Management: Responsible for the product development and lifecycle management, ensuring the product portfolio is aligned with customer requirements and supports the strategic objectives of the organization. This role also ensuring appropriate allocation of resources to support these initiatives. Additionally, is working closely with the portfolio managers for defining and shaping the products’ value proposition in the market. The role is essential to ensure successful product launches, including the formulation of comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies, which encompass messaging, market positioning, and promotional planning.
- M&A Budget Management: Manages the overall marketing budget, οversees the effective allocation of resources across various marketing initiatives and ensures optimal return on investment (ROI) from the marketing campaigns.
- Contributes to the development of business plans and overall corporate strategic initiatives: Collaborates with the management team in the development of the annual business plan, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overarching corporate objectives.
- Public Relations and Networking: Managing public relation actions to build the company's reputation and handle media relations. Attends to industry events and conferences to represent the company and networking with potential market stakeholders (together or as a back up to the Managing Director). Acts as an internal Lobby ambassador for Greece. Manage the press releases and communications with the officials.
- SPEL participation: Represents Yara to the Greek Association of Fertilizers.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and MSc in Agronomy or Marketing.
- 8+ years of marketing experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns.
