Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Yara International ASA. Yara has supplied fertilizersas well as fertilizer raw materials to the Indian market for over two decades. Yara India has continuouslystrengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach. 

Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India, thereby improving the livelihood of Indian farmer. To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition Yara India’s scale of operation has grown significantly. 

Role & Responsibilities

Planning, Execution & Asset Reliability

  • Execute restoration painting activities for mechanical assets to protect equipment from external corrosion.
  • Compile job scopes, BOQs, and technical data for turnaround (TA) preparation and routine maintenance.
  • Plan, schedule, execute and close routine and common mechanical jobs during Turnarounds.
  • Prepare work packages including job detailing, material planning, risk assessment, QAP and PCCL.
  • Support execution of identified CAPEX jobs in the field.
  • Collect and compile data for Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) for mechanical activities.
  • Support yearly review and data compilation for Long-Term Asset Management Plan (LTAP).
  • Align maintenance scope with LAMP and turnaround job lists.

HESQ, Compliance & Governance

  • Implement Environment Management and HESQ guidelines during planning and execution.
  • Prepare HESQ plans including RA, SJA and SSJA for turnaround and routine jobs.
  • Ensure safe work execution through permit systems (CL1 & CL2), toolbox talks and SWP compliance.
  • Conduct systematic plant inspections and report hazards, near misses and unsafe acts in Synergi.
  • Support implementation of Process Safety Management elements including Asset Integrity and Hazard Management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, environment, heavy lifting and contract management requirements.
  • Support implementation of Quality Management Systems for workshop and planning functions.
  • Support compliance with TOPS 2.01 and TOPS 2.09 requirements (BOM, DMS, spare management, milestones).

Other Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of Turnaround budgets.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Inspection, Procurement and site teams for job execution.
  • Coordinate site visits and technical scope development for timely ARC finalization.
  • Interface with service providers, material suppliers and contract workforce.
  • Ensure effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote a psychologically safe work environment and support employee engagement.
  • Demonstrate Yara values and promote a culture of collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement.
  • Support adoption of advanced tools, technologies and best practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of rotary equipment, towers, heat exchangers, valves, PSVs and piping systems.
  • Hands-on understanding of Turnaround Management systems and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of restoration painting systems, BOQ preparation, material procurement and application quality.
  • Ability to interpret isometrics, piping standards, equipment drawings, manuals and engineering documents.
  • Knowledge of lifting tools & tackles regulations and contractor management guidelines.
  • Understanding of labor laws and industrial safety systems.
  • Working knowledge of Process Safety Management systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP (Notifications, PR, material issue & return, vendor payment) and MS Office.
  • Ability to read and understand English and Hindi.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering) from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification industry experience.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling in Fertilizer, Refinery or Chemical industry will be an added advantage.
