Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Yara International ASA. Yara has supplied fertilizers as well as fertilizer rawmaterials to the Indian market for over two decades. Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach.
Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving theagriculture sector in India, there by improving the livelihood of Indian farmer. To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition Yara India’s scale of operation has grown significantly.
Role & Responsibilities
The Executive – Nursing will be responsible for providing nursing care and healthcare support to employees and their dependents through the plant healthcare facility. The role will support doctors in OPD/IPD, emergency care, ANC/PNC, immunization and occupational health activities, while ensuring proper medication management, medical documentation and readiness of the health centre.
This position is open to female candidates only, considering the requirement for dedicated female nursing support and female patient care.
Nursing Care & Medical Support
- Provide nursing care, first aid and basic medical support to employees and their dependents.
- Record vital signs, register patients and maintain accurate OPD/IPD records.
- Administer prescribed injections, vaccinations, IV fluids and other nursing procedures under the guidance of company doctors.
- Assist doctors during examinations, minor procedures and medical emergencies.
- Provide ANC, PNC and nursing care to female patients under the guidance of company doctors/visiting gynecologist.
- Support timely immunization and maintain vaccination records in HIS/HIMS.
- Manage the health centre independently as Shift In-charge, when assigned.
Emergency & Occupational Health
- Respond to medical emergencies, provide immediate first aid and assist in stabilizing patients.
- Accompany patients during ambulance transfers to higher medical centres, when required.
- Support emergency drills, mass casualty response and industrial emergency preparedness.
- Support pre-employment, periodic and special medical examinations and other occupational health initiatives.
- Participate in health awareness, preventive healthcare and wellness programs.
- Apply relevant ISO 45001, occupational health, infection control and safety requirements in nursing activities.
Medication, Records & Health Centre Management
- Dispense medicines as prescribed and maintain appropriate medication records.
- Ensure availability of medicines, medical consumables, first-aid materials and emergency supplies and raise indents as required.
- Maintain accurate patient, treatment, vaccination and medical records in HIS/HIMS while ensuring patient data confidentiality.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per applicable requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and 5-S of the health centre.
- Verify medical bills submitted for reimbursement, as applicable.
Compliance, Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere to company Medical Policy, Data Privacy Policy, healthcare SOPs and applicable statutory requirements.
- Support departmental KPIs and quality improvement initiatives related to healthcare services.
- Participate in nursing, safety, occupational health and emergency response training and apply learning at the workplace.
- Coordinate effectively with company doctors, nursing staff, employees and other site departments.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Company Doctors or reporting manager from time to time.
Preferred Skills
- Strong nursing, patient-care and first-aid skills with the ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
- Knowledge of ANC, PNC, immunization and female healthcare.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and basic emergency response/BLS.
- Proficiency in HIS/HIMS and basic MS Office applications.
- Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in shifts with a high degree of responsibility and confidentiality.
Education & Experience
Education:
- Full-time B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
Experience:
- 4-7 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a reputed hospital, occupational health centre or industrial healthcare facility is preferred.
- Experience in a chemical/manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Work Schedule
The role may involve shift duties, weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities as per plant operations
