About the Unit
Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Yara International ASA. Yara has supplied fertilizers as well as fertilizer raw materials to the Indian market for over two decades. Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach.
Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India, thereby improving the livelihood of Indian farmers. To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara’s plant generates 1.30 million MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India and the scale of operation is continuing to grow significantly.
Roles and Responsibilities
The incumbent will manage and oversee all People & Culture activities on site and this role reports into the Plant Manager. The key responsibilities include:
- Facilitate and support the culture transformation at Babrala site
- Strengthen DE&I in Babrala site
- Drive the People Learning and development activities
- Contributes to the respective business agenda in alignment with global/regional business strategy.
- Provides key business insights to help shape site relevant people strategy.
- Applies people strategy based on site specifics and respective business priorities.
- Implementation and review of people policies of site.
- Act as advisor to line managers on all people matters.
- Responsible to manage the talent acquisition process.
- Ensure compliances to Yara policies and frameworks
- Manage the talent management and succession processes
- Ensure complete, accurate and up to date information in SAP
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders and leverage them for the legitimate interests of the company
- Facilitate change management and employee engagement processes on site.
Skills and Capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build trustful relationship
- Strong influencing, conflict resolution, consulting, and coaching skills
- Business acumen: Broad and deep understanding of the business
- Proven track record of managing cultural transformation
- Strong Diversity, Equity and Inclusion experience
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change with ease
- Full People life cycle experience
Education and Experience
Education Qualification: Master’s degree in business administration (Specialization-HR)
Work Experience: 15+ years of experience in People generalist role with at least 10 years in senior management role.
