Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves company’s revenue and profit growth target with strategic territory planning across distribution network, which is distributor and retailer, and product portfolio.
  • Thorough understanding of the products or services offered by the company in order to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to customers. And able to turn the knowledge to value based selling.
  • Leading and conducting presentations or demonstrations to showcase products and services, and persuade potential customers to make a purchase or joint business plan.
  • Identify and target potential customers in their assigned sales territory.
  • Negotiate commercial term and condition with customers and close sales deals while ensuring profitability for the company.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences in order to achieve Net Promoted Score target.
  • Lead and increase customer adoption in Yara digital solution via Yara e-ordering tool, YaraConnect, YaraBodega and FarmCare. Also able to ensure customer regular operate Yara sales activity in Yara digital tool.
  • Sales reporting and keeping accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, sales orders, sales report and customer database by using CRM software or other tools.
  • Staying informed about market research data, industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Continuous Learning and keeping abreast of product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry developments through training programs and self-study to enhance performance and effectiveness.
  • Performs collaboration and improvement. Proven team player, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, result- driven and proactive with great. communication skills, embracing Yara values and a safe and inclusive work culture. 

Profile

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales function.
  • Experience with customer relationship management.
  • Experiences in B2B distribution network such as distributor and retailer channel.
  • Experiences in key account management.  

 Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Strong value based selling and financial Acumen.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong conflict management in term of customer’s territory.
  • Ability to identify and target potential customers.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to stay up to date on industry trends and changes in market conditions.

Additional Information

  • Ability to travel within a designated sales territory
  • Proficiency in English & Fluent in Thai
  • Valid driver's licens
