About the Team:
The Business Applications Team at Yara manages a portfolio of over 50 internal applications and digital services that are critical to our global operations. We own and govern SharePoint Online and Power Platform, and are responsible for the development, stability, and secure operation of key line-of-business systems.

The team consists of 10+ specialists across Microsoft SharePoint, M365, Power and Platform. This role will report to the Application Delivery Manager located in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert and Oversee Development of Custom Business Applications: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and operations of custom SharePoint and Microsoft 365-based solutions tailored to complex business needs.
Implement and Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Ensure robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes across multiple environments using Azure DevOps and other Microsoft ecosystem tools.
Expert in Core Development & SPFx: Architect backend services using C# and PowerShell, while also leading SPFx (SharePoint Framework) development using TypeScript and React to build custom web parts, field customizers, command sets, and application customizers.
Drive Automation and Cloud Best Practices: Champion automation initiatives, performance optimization, and security compliance using Microsoft Cloud best practices, with a focus on enterprise scalability.
Monitor and Optimize Systems: Design, implement, and maintain proactive monitoring solutions leveraging Microsoft native tools such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics to ensure system reliability and uptime.
Lead Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with product owners, QA, infrastructure teams, and developers to enforce best practices in version control, branching strategies, and release governance.
Mentor and Guide Team Members: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
Stay Current with Technology Trends: Continuously research and evaluate advancements in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, and DevOps practices, disseminating knowledge to enhance team capability and solution innovation.
Participate in Agile Development: Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demos, and technical knowledge-sharing session.

Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Brings over 7 to 10 years of experience in Microsoft development, with a strong architectural focus and at least 7+ years of specialized expertise in SharePoint solutions and integrations.
Proven expertise in Azure DevOps, including authoring complex YAML pipelines, managing CI/CD workflows, automating releases, and implementing enterprise-grade version control strategies.
Strong technical background in .NET (C#), TypeScript, PowerShell, JavaScript, YAML, with deep hands-on experience in SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and custom SharePoint development.• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing scalable cloud- native architectures using Microsoft Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, and cloud-integrated data platforms.
Skilled in designing and implementing resilient front-end and back-end architectures across the Microsoft technology stack, with a focus on performance, scalability, and enterprise-grade security
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in troubleshooting and optimizing complex DevOps pipelines and workflows.
Familiarity with Microsoft’s low-code/no-code ecosystem, including Power Platform, Power Automate, and Power BI, is considered an advantage.
Holds or is actively pursuing Microsoft certifications, demonstrating a commitment to staying current with Microsoft technologies and industry best practices.

What You'll Do

You will be a Subject Matter Expert with SharePoint experience to join Yara International’s Microsoft Business Application Team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will contribute to the development and operation of business-critical applications built on SharePoint Online, Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform, helping us ensure stable, secure, and innovative solutions across the global enterprise.
This position is pivotal to delivering high-quality digital services, modernizing legacy applications, and supporting global functions in compliance, manufacturing, project delivery, and employee engagement. As part of a growing Yara Global Competence Center, you'll work closely with experts across Norway, Sweden, Belgium, and your new colleagues in Bangalore, India, to transform business needs into digital solutions.
Develop and maintain custom SharePoint Online applications, using SPFx(TypeScript), Azure Functions (C#), Logic Apps, Power Automate, and PnP components.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders across continents to refine requirements, propose solutions, and deliver reliable applications.
Lead technical implementation for SharePoint-based systems with high complexity and code volume, some exceeding 100,000+ lines.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes in Azure DevOps.
Implement platform best practices, including compliance with ISO/DNV, accessibility standards, and secure data governance.
Proactively identify and refactor technical debt, modernize legacy code, and document design patterns.
Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues to build strong team capabilities, support knowledge transfer and training as part of Yara’s long-term strategy to grow sustainable competence.
