Yara People, Process and Digitalization (YPD) has the overall responsibility for Yara’s people and culture development, as well as for technology, architecture and solutions that enable the digitalization of Yara’s core processes and operations. By bringing people and transformation resources, as well as process, digital and tech capabilities into one cross-functional area, YPD is set to accelerate the transformation.

Digital technology across Yara has embarked on a Digital transformation journey. The Digital Transformation Enablement unit that includes Business and Enterprise Architecture (BA&EA) will facilitate and manage the architecture governance, policies and the strategic architecture activities for the different Regions and Lines of Business units in Yara globally.  

 

Background 

The SAP Supply Chain Domain Architect is part of the Business and Enterprise Architecture function which is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of an organization's business processes, data, information systems, and technology. Our architects will work on bridging the gap between business and technology, ensure that technology solutions and proposals align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives and deliver the most value to the business. 

   

Role 

This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technology, and the ability to create and communicate the domain target architecture, and roadmaps in alignment with business and technology stakeholders. The role will engage with the wider group of Global, Regional Business Process Owners, Business Process Managers, as well as global and regional architects.  

The Supply Chain Domain Architect will manage and operate through Enterprise Architecture Governance processes and make sure Yara Architecture principles is respected in all architecture decisions within supply chain domain.  

Responsibilities

  • Provide the strategic technology view for Supply Chain domain covering: 
    • Sales & Operations Planning 
    • Supply, Demand, and Production Planning 
    • Material Master Data Management 
    • Transportation management  
    • Inventory and Warehouse Management 
    • Order Promising 
    • Logistics Management 
  • Partner with supply chain professionals in the business to define the transformation ambition, standardization, harmonization, scope, and Global Template requirements in the area of Supply Chain 
  • Analyze the as-is domain architecture and provide the necessary transformations and impacts insights. 
  • Create and drive the domain target architecture work and roadmaps. 
  • Mentor and coach cross-functional teams, providing guidance on best practices in SAP solution design, configuration, and integration. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. 
  • Work closely with other architects to ensure dependencies between business processes are understood and addressed accordingly.  
  • Represent the domain architecture in the enterprise architecture governance and be the architecture guardian for supply chain. 
  • Provide visibility for the digital Total Cost of Ownership visibility in Supply Chain 
  • Collaborate with the Application Management team for aspects related to the domain 

Profile

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or similar 
  • 12+ years of experience as an architect or application expert in SAP supply chain technologies. Expertise in SAP IBP is mandatory. Knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4Hana Enterprise Management,  EWM, Inventory Management, YARD Logistics is also essential to be successful in the role. 
  • Strong supply chain background covering the process of Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Tactical Raw Material Planning, Sales and Operational Planning, and Execution with a strong business and technology understanding.  
  • Very good track record of leading business workshops, requirement-gathering processes, user stories and translating them into IT architecture designs. 
  • Very good experience in master data management for supply chain domain 
  • Leadership skills and experience in driving the domain technology objectives. 
  • Ability to push for transformation and ensure that delivery according to the business objectives. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.  
  • Great communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a "can-do" mindset. 
  • Experience in large business transformation programs in the manufacturing sector 
  • Certified TOGAF is a plus.
