About the Unit

We develop and deliver digital solutions to optimize production by providing real-time process insight, decision support and automatically adjusting the process. Our products are cloud-native and developed on top of a unified digital platform to provide scalability that will help our employees at the sites, or in global functions, improve the efficiency and safety of our factories' processes and operations.   

Our unit is responsible end-to-end for the impact of the digital products, which means that we establish the vision, develop, and deploy the products at the production sites.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who gets excited about building high-quality, scalable software solutions and applications for optimizing production. 
You will be a valuable member in a cross-functional, autonomous team to build, experiment, iterate and deliver new objectives for Industrial IoT. Above all, your work will impact how we feed the world and protect the planet.  

The role is based in our digital hub in Bangalore. 

What you will be doing

• Work closely with the Technical lead, Product owner, Designers, and engineering individual contributors in your team to design, develop and deploy applications with strong focus on scalability, and robustness.
• Leverage DevOps practices and principles to help scale developer’s productivity, and continuously contribute to improve our engineering standards.
• Together with your team, take operational responsibility for the components owned by the team.
• Take ownership of the quality of own deliverables as well as the team´s.
• Take Lead on particular part of product
• Coach and provide feedback on the work of software engineers.
• Contribute to the team's work with peer reviews, testing, mentoring and be an inspiration for junior software engineers across the engineering team
• You are agile/scrum experience and deliver well-tested and reviewed releases.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with some of Yara´s best software engineers.

What you will bring

• You have minimum a bachelor in technology 
• You have several years of experience as a software engineer with experience in building cloud-native software solutions which are highly performant, scalable and maintainable 
• You have experience with end-to-end application development with deep understanding of full stack software development  
• Ideally, you are experienced with JavaScript, React, Node and Python  
• A cloud experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a plus
• You have experience with modern software development Frameworks and relational/non-relational databases. 
• You are eager to learn, a conscientious worker, and a thoughtful, kind, supportive person that enjoys sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. 
• You have excellent English communication skills and an abundance of passion and enthusiasm for creating product 
• You value team success over personal success.
