Senior UX Designer

Yara is the world's largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs, offering solutions for sustainable agriculture respecting the environment. Our fertilizers and our crop nutrition programs were designed to help the sector of food production and to meet the needs of a growing world population. Our products and solutions help industry reduce emissions, improve air quality and prioritize effective operations safely.

Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Function both as an individual contributor and project leader, guiding a team of designers and researchers.

  • Manage and execute design work from project goals to execution, validation and final handoff to engineers.

  • Work with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and roadmaps.

  • Understand and balance business, user and technical requirements.

  • Deliver experiences that are optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, including phone, tablet and desktop.

  • Facilitate the adoption of UX and design thinking within your teams.

  • Develop interns and junior designers and contribute to the advancement of the design practice within the Global UX Team.

  • Act as a collaborator with mid/junior designers and align work between project squads to ensure consistent experience.

  • Interest in the low LSM users, agriculture and mobile technologies impact space. Experience in Supply Chain/E-Commerce domains would be a plus.

Profile

  • You have a minimum of 6 to 10 years of UX experience.

  • You have an outstanding portfolio that showcases a variety of projects, your creative process and final designs.

  • You have proven experience in leading UX projects across the whole design process.

  • Awareness in 2 or more of the following: Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Content, Service Design.

  • You have mastered the most common design tools and are up-to-date with industry standards.

  • You are able to articulate design decisions and communicate to your stakeholders and managers.

  • You are open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.

  • You are proactive and support for development, training and continuous learning.

  • You are aligned with our principles: customer-centric, lean, service-oriented architecture, self-motivated, transparent.

  • Have experience working End to end delivering products at scale. Enterprise product experience is a plus.

  • Commitment to using new technologies and frameworks, meetups, and knowledge sharing.
