Software Developer - Process Automation

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. 

Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Farming unit – now Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) – 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Today, DAS has built products for smallholder and professional farmers, retailers and other farming ecosystem stakeholders across Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

About the Team 

  • Process Automation team is responsible for automating key business processes and workflows across functions like HR, Vendor Management, Project Management, IT and Hub Operations

  • Team is responsible for engaging with the process SMEs, elicit requirements for automation, configure and develop the scripts and workflows, which helps in improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the respective business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and work on the tools that the team already uses including internal and 3rd party services (examples include: Office365 (Power Apps Power Automate), Azure, AWS, Blue Prism, Formstack, Zapier, workato, Airtable, and many others).

  • Ability to understand business requirements and design

  • Develop the code that meets design/solution approach

  • Ensure quality of coding by performing end to end testing

  • Ability to work independently and focus on deliverables

  • End to end stakeholder management

Profile

  • 3 – 5 years of experience (must have 2+ years of experience in automation)

    [Key Skills: Office365(Power Automate, Power App), API concepts, coding/scripting experience]

  • Able to code in JavaScript/JSON/Python and prior experience scripting within an automation/tooling environment - example using tools like Power Automate, Zapier, Blue Prism, UI Path, workato etc

  • Preferred to have coding experience in Python, HTML+CSS+XML to build apps or use web frameworks

  • Understanding of APIs and prior experience using APIs and building basic API integrations through webhooks, etc...

  • Experience in develop, implement and test process automations using Power Automate and Power App

  • Preferred Microsoft Certified candidates who has passed PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (optional). Ready to learn new automation tools
