Junior Software Engineer - Field Management (f/m/d)

About the Unit

Yara has an ambitious strategic agenda to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is taking lead in the development towards sustainable agriculture and digital tools, to contribute to solving the challenges which the agricultural industry is facing globally. We have a worldwide presence with sales to ~150 countries and around 17 000 employees. The newly established function, Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offering and the way we work.

The field management team enables our users to manage agricultural fields in the product. We are responsible for features that allow farmers and their advisors to draw fields on a map and seamlessly generate recommendations for fertilizing usage based on analysis of satellite images.

Responsibilities

You can/will 

  • Work on the forefront of building digital products for agriculture

  • Work within an international product team with a product manager, designers, and other developers to create solutions and apps focused on our customers' needs

  • Participate in the full life cycle of a product, from early-stage rapid prototyping through to full market release and continuous improvement after the initial launch

  • Build scalable applications

  • Learn and overall collaborate while working with other engineers

You have

  • Full English proficiency (written and spoken)

  • Practical knowledge of software development

  • Experience building user interfaces using React and Typescript

  • Experience building GraphQL APIs with Typescript, or willingness to learn
