The Digital Production Platform products and services power our digital products that are helping our employees at the production sites and in global functions, improve efficiency and safety at production operations. Our Platform integrates and ingests industrial data from our production sites all around the globe. The team is not only designing and building the Platform but also maintaining, operating and supporting it.

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer who gets excited about building high-quality, scalable, and reliable distributed services and applications for industrial IoT. In this role, you will design and build solutions that will power and scale our Cloud Platform, with a focus on enabling bestin-class services for our product applications running on top of our platform. You will be a valuable member of a cross-functional, autonomous engineering team to build, experiment, iterate and deliver on new objectives. Above all, your work will impact how we feed the world and protect the planet.

You can be located in Berlin. This role is on a hybrid model.

What you will be doing

Design, develop and operate high quality services with a strong focus on reliability, availability, and scalability.
Develop testable, maintainable and high-quality product and services.
Take operational responsibility for the platform services that are owned by your team.
Leverage DevSecOps practices and principles to help scale developer’s productivity, and continuously contribute to improve our engineering practices.
Share knowledge and collaborate with some of Yara´s best software engineers

What you will bring

You have higher education with minimum a bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar.
Recent graduate or up to five years of software engineering experience in development, architecture and design of distributed systems – preferably with cloud technologies. Experience in modern programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Python or similar.
Experience in building loosely coupled large-scale distributed systems using a microservice architecture style.
Knowledge about messaging system technologies such as Kafka, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, or Google Pub/Sub.
Experience with test automation, debugging and other automation techniques.
Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
