Communications Specialist

We are currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with a strategic mindset, who will be responsible for strengthening LATAM’s internal and external positioning through the development and execution of impactful communication strategies, aligned with business priorities and regional objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support Yara Marketing & Communications Manager Latam, in designing and executing the Regional Internal Communications Strategy relevant for Latam.
- Actively identify, organize, contact and follow up key stakeholders that are relevant for the business within Latam, engaging locally internal advocates, and capturing regional synergies if needed.
- Support communications for the market, designing and executing communication plans that support Yara business growth and their local strategy implementation. This includes content development -with the help of local teams- and publishing.
- Lead the execution of the internal positioning and communications plan that strengthens LATAM’s visibility within the organization, ensuring effective communication of key milestones and strategic achievements across the region.
- Ensure coordination and delivery of Latam's Communications & key initiatives.
- Manage and optimize content across internal communication platforms (e.g., Pulse, Viva Engage, and others), ensuring timely, engaging, and consistent messaging aligned with regional communication objectives.
- Measure, analyze, and consolidate the performance of regional and local communications initiatives, translating insights into structured reports that demonstrate impact, inform decision-making, and drive continuous optimization.
- HESQ Management: Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements and Know and comply with the other requirements defined in the Matrix of HESQ Responsibilities, associated with their position / role.
Profile
Education
University degree, preferably with post graduate studies in Communications & Journalism.
Work Experience
at least 3 years experience in corporate communications & business journalism
Desirable experience within food chain industry and/or agribusiness sector
Knowledge and skills
Strong proficiency in digital platforms, communication technologies, and emerging tools, including the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance content creation, audience engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
Fluent in English and Spanish
Team worker with the ability to unite colleagues from geographically distant units
Experience in driving change, searching for excellence, with a sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
Effective communication
Additional Information
This position operates under a hybrid work model, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia. Candidates must be currently residing in Bogotá. The office is located near Parque de la 93.
