In recent years Yara has been growing and acquiring an important position in the Latin America fertilizer market and actively supporting the development of sustainable, productive and profitable agriculture for different crops. 

Currently we have the vacancy for the position of Agronomic Manager south-eastern area. We need a person with an experienced and highly motivated leader profile, whose main purpose is to ensure compliance with the commercial strategy, through  the implementation and development of value offers internalized in the commercial team, including innovation and development of Yara’s products and services portfolio, aiming to consolidate customer satisfaction and loyalty, as a means to make their business more productive and profitable, so as to contribute to the company's results. At the same time ensure compliance with applicable regulations ruled by the competent National Authorities and the regulatory bodies of the sector. The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia and will report directly to the Agronomic Manager Colombia.

  • Guarantee work processes and methodologies within the agronomic  regional team to ensure: Strong understanding of our target farmer needs, development of crop nutrition solutions centered in target farmer´s needs, implementation demand generation activities in cooperation with Agronomy and Sales teams, to identify new business opportunities, Knowledge of main competitors’ strategy and positioning in the south-eastern market in terms of agronomic and commercial perspective
  • Give clear strategic input to the regional sales manager  from an agronomic perspective related to commercial aspects in the regional market
  • Ensure agronomic competences development (by implementing the Agronomic Competence Model and other complementary activities) for the Agronomic team as well as the Sales teams.
  • Be the owner / approver of the local crop programs
  • Set the agronomic direction and the R&D agenda in the regional market. 
  • Actively contribute to build commercial business cases in the regional market. 
  • Ensure quality of the agronomic content in the local marketing material, work closely with the local marketing team. 
  • Strong knowledge of the product portfolio and environmental impact of Yara’s solutions and its operations, so that positively influence local authorities, institutions and other influential entities in the value chain.    
  • Cooperate in the process of new products registration with the competent authorities and assure that current products and services are in compliance with current legislation

Agricultural engineer, Agroindustrial, or related professions with at least 8 years of experience in the agricultural sector, in management roles of crop technical assistance, agronomic research and development, and commercial contact with clients. Advanced oral and written english and spanish language skills
