YaraVita Sales Manager

About the Unit

Andean region, made up for Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile & Bolivia,  presents significant opportunities for growth within the agricultural sector. Yara has set ambitious targets to develop into the leading Latin-American Crop Nutrition Company. The fertilizer market in this region  is approx. 5 mill tons. We are looking for a Yara Vita Sales Manager, based in Colombia, reporting to Commercial Director Andean Region. This role will accompany the growth strategy in Andean Market.  We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated leader profile, whose main purpose is to define the YaraVita Strategy in the region and ensure the compliance of the Go to Market setting, identifying, developing and delivering  profitable growth  opportunities for YaraVita foliar, seed treatment and Procote products, aligned with the Central Product Management Team.

Responsibilities
  • Development of business initiatives, sales volume/revenues and profitability within target markets and analize the market information.
  • Support the team and drive the strategy across the areas involved in the region.
  • Competence development, prepare and deliver regional and local ‘Value Selling’, YaraVita product & tools (Tankmix) training courses.
  • Manage and follow up customers claims.
  • Transfer Best Practices from other Business Units into the region.
Profile
  • Education: University degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial areas
  • Influencer of sales teams
  • Confident yet humble, proactive and autonomous 
  • ‘Doer’ behavior and mentality, while at the same time having a strategic and business oriented thinking
  • Team worker with the ability to unite colleagues from geographically distant units  
  • Takes the lead, is proactive and eager to detect and explore new opportunities
  • Good ability to plan and work systematically
  • Ability to travel within the region and occasionally overseas
  • Basic knowledge in Plant Nutrition and Plant Physiology
  • Notable knowledge of people management and leadership
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
