Regional Sales Agronomist, South Australia

The incumbent is responsible for growing sales across Yara's full product portfolio, increasing end-user demand, and building strong customer relationships to expand Yara's footprint and brand presence in the Southern Australia market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable growth and market share by developing and executing sales strategies for the Yara product portfolio across the region, with a strong focus on key crops and customer segments.
  • Leverage agronomic expertise, market insights, and commercial acumen to identify opportunities, influence grower decisions, and deliver value-based solutions to customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader commercial team to execute pricing strategies, maximize business performance, and proactively share market and competitor intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agronomists, growers, and key industry stakeholders to strengthen Yara's market presence and customer loyalty.
  • Develop and manage strategic customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth.
  • Create and expand influential grower networks to increase end-user demand and drive adoption of Yara solutions.
  • Plan and deliver grower meetings, field days, workshops, and technical presentations to promote product knowledge and position Yara as a trusted agronomic partner.
  • Coordinate and manage crop demonstration programs, showcasing product performance and communicating results through grower, agronomist, and customer networks.
  • Lead regional sales planning, budgeting, forecasting, and pipeline management activities to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Monitor sales performance against forecasts and budgets, providing regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Oversee customer order fulfillment and collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery.

Profile

  • Strong commercial acumen & industry experience of 10 plus years within Agricultural based sales
  • Good knowledge of agronomic principles in horticultural crops
  • Existing industry contacts & networks within NSW ag sector
  • Strong commercial mindset, enthusiastic and reliable
  • Team player, self-motivated, adaptable and good attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.  
  • Proven planning and organization skills.
