Sales Agronomist, Biologicals

Founded in 1996, Yara Australia is a trusted leader in crop nutrition, serving the country’s vibrant horticultural sector with a team of 12 and annual revenues of approximately USD 40 million. We supply around 55,000 tonnes of high-quality products each year, supporting key crops such as leafy vegetables, potatoes, and macadamias. As part of our commitment to sustainable agriculture, we are focused on expanding our biological portfolio and introducing our innovative Climate Choice solution to help growers meet the challenges of a changing climate. 

Responsibilities

The Sales Agronomist will be a knowledgeable Product Specialist to champion our innovative YaraVita nutrition and YaraAmplix biostimulant portfolio. This role combines technical expertise with strategic market development activities to support producers, distributors and industry professionals with product education, application support, and performance insights. The role will activate Yara’s Biologicals growth strategy in Australia, working alongside Yara’s commercial team to deliver on the commercial roadmap.

 

The Sales Agronomist has a developmental role. The primary focus is on activities related to demand creation and awareness generation for YaraVita and YaraAmplix. Success is measured by demand creation activities such as customer training, agronomy training, demonstration trials and field days, in full coordination with commercial teams to achieve overall commercial sales objectives. The role will require extensive travel ~(50%), to align with cropping seasons, support field activities & drive demand creation across a broad geographic spread. Although based in Western Australia, travel will be required to all states to align with market campaigns. 

Profile

  • University Degree in Agriculture/Science/Business Marketing (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years working experience within the segment of crop nutrition and plant bio-stimulants.
  • Deep understanding of agriculture business and specifically plant nutrition.
  • Strong commercial mindset, enthusiastic and reliable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing, customer and market segmentation, sales strategies, strategic planning, customer relationship management, negotiation, and product development. 
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Additional Information

This position will be based in West Australia and requires the successful candidate to wor primarily from that state.
