About the Unit
Yara Technology and Projects (YTP), part of the Global Plants & Operational Excellence (YGP) business unit, focuses on improving existing processes, products and developing new and innovative solutions. The vacancy is to join the Process Engineering team mainly based in Brussels to support Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) in blue and green ammonia projects. The world needs a clean energy transition , there is an increasing consensus that clean ammonia will create a clean energy future in shipping and food production. By 2030 Yara has ambition to reduce net Green House Gas emission by at least 55% “Fit for 55”.
Responsibilities
- Work in close cooperation with Yara Clean Ammonia team to provide Ammonia expertise to external partners. YCA has teamed up with several clean energy companies to enable the production of clean ammonia.
- Prepare process inputs for applying to permits applications for innovative projects.
- Prepare Process specifications for budgetary proposals/ feasibility / concept phases studies.
- Participate in the selection Vendors/ Contractors.
- Be responsible for internal checks of process documents being prepared by Contractor and Vendors, participate in technical review meetings.
- Ensure that the process design is safe and suitable for operation.
- Define process design and prepare process deliverables under Yara’s scope of work.
- Ensure experience transfer from Yara ammonia plants are built into the plant engineering, fabrication and operation.
- Assist the Contractor in solving technical queries during the procurement, fabrication and site construction.
- Participate in HAZOP and 3D model review workshops, Value engineering sessions.
- Support existing production facilities in maturing early projects and troubleshooting.
- Keep up to dates with latest technologies.
Profile
- MSc / Bachelor Degree in Chemical Process Engineering or other Engineering diploma
- At least 8 years of experience in the ammonia process / hydrogen / methanol processes
- Experience in process engineering (from operation or from engineering companies)
- Aspen simulation experience
