At this moment we are looking for a Junior Production Engineer.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with Yara occupational health and process safety standards.
Monitor and evaluate the main process variables in the production plants through control and analysis of the process parameters guarantying the plants operation fulfilling with the integrity operating windows.
Evaluate process performance per main systems and critical equipment to identify process trends and threats that could affect reliability of the plants.
Develop tools and standard operating procedures to improve the process performance and reliability of the plants.
Able to generate troubleshooting per critical system and process problems to identify root cause, then provide recommendations and implement preventive measures to improve process safety, performance, and reliability of the plants.
Implement process and equipment upgrades for continuous improvement efforts and to support new business initiatives.
Trains operators, technicians, engineers on the use of the process tools to improve the process performance and reliability.
Lead and conduct reliability investigations focus in the improvement of the process performance using tools like RCAs, Pareto Analysis, 5 why, etc
Development and review of engineering documents, process data sheets, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Support safe design risk analysis such as What-if, Hazop, Hazip and LOPA.
Preparation and monitoring of shift scheduling and time control.
Monitoring and management of KPIs established in the Production area.

Profile

Bachelors in chemical engineering
Experience in chemical manufacturing plants of minimum 1 year
Effective communications skills
Ability to interact on teams that include operators, technicians, engineers and management staff
Willingness to learn
Demonstrated computer skills, including process simulation in Hysys and Aspen plus
Understanding of chemical process controls
English communication skills are required
