Planning Lead

We are currently seeking a Planning Lead, responsible for ensuring integrated and synchronized planning of materials and production capacity, effectively linking commercial demand with supply chain operations to guarantee timely, efficient, and sustainable business supply.

This position will be based at the Cartagena plant, Colombia, and will report to the Supply Chain Manager – Andean Region.

Responsibilities

Planning:

- Lead the Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) process in each country under his/her charge.

- Focal point with Global Planning and Optimization team.

- Focal point between Commercial and Production areas.

- Ensure the right feeding of YPOD RP (and DP if apply) and guarantee the consistency of information between RP and MRP.

- Ensure the supply plan of packing material in accordance with MRP.

- Responsible for linking the end to end process from demand planning (S&OP) to supply chain operations.

- Responsible for the role of S&OP Coordinator.

- Coordinate the supply restriction and executive meetings and provide the right and reliable information.

- Ensure development and execution of SLA between Commercial, Supply Chain regarding to planning processes.

- Manage the MRP execution, custody inventory day levels and continuously support balance supply and demand.

- Support planning supply chain reporting, KPIs, simulations and respective trend analysis.

- Coordinate planning committees with commercial area to drive sourcing requirement alignment.

- Ensure plan allocation of materials, production and storage capacity to meet market demand.

- Liaise with sourcing department, procurement and site operations to ensure all materials and resources are in balance with demand forecasts.

- Communicate delivery / shipment plans to the relevant stakeholders.

- Support data management for generation of supply chain reports.

- Ensure compliance of Planning Rules.

General:

- Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Sa fe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements and Know and comply with the other requirements defined in the Matri x of HESQ Responsibilities, associated with their position / role.

Profile

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate studies or certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or Planning (MBA, Master’s, APICS CPIM/CSCP) are highly desirable.
  • Formal training in S&OP / IBP methodologies is a strong plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning (MRP), or similar roles within industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, chemical, agribusiness, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience leading or coordinating end-to-end planning processes, from Demand Planning / S&OP through Supply Chain execution.
  • Hands-on experience managing MRP processes, inventory policies, service levels, and supply–demand balancing.
  • Experience acting as a key interface between Commercial, Production, Procurement, and Global Planning teams.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading S&OP cycles, supply restriction forums, and executive-level planning meetings.
  • Experience working in regional or multi-country environments is highly desirable.
  • Background in capacity planning, material allocation, and supply constraint management.
  • Experience supporting or developing SLA agreements between Commercial and Supply Chain functions.
  • Exposure to supply chain performance reporting, KPIs, trend analysis, and scenario simulations.
  • Knowledge & Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of:
      • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
      • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP / IBP)
      • Supply Planning and Inventory Management
      • Capacity Planning (production and storage)
    • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and planning integration.
    • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP highly preferred) and planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, IBP, or similar).
    • Knowledge of data management and reporting, including the use of planning dashboards and KPIs.
    • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify risks, and propose mitigation scenarios.
    • Strong understanding of planning rules, compliance standards, and governance models.
    • Knowledge of HESQ standards, safety principles, and regulatory requirements applicable to supply chain operations.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and good command of PowerPoint for executive presentations
