Record to Report Analyst

Currently we have the vacancy for the position of Record to Report Analyst We need a person with an experienced and highly motivated leader profile, whose main purpose is to ensure compliance with the Shared Service Center strategy, aiming to consolidate customer satisfaction and loyalty, as a means to make their business more productive and profitable, so as to contribute to the company's results. The position will be based Cartagena, Colombia and will have a direct report line to the Record to Report Manager

Responsibilities

Main Objective:

Support the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including journal entries, fixed assets, and month-end closing activities, in compliance with internal procedures. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports to ensure clear and reliable financial information for decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in executing financial processes in line with internal policies, procedures, and applicable fiscal regulations.

Support the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.

Suuport IT Tools streamline and automate processes.

 

Geographical Scope:

LATAM

 

Core Duties:

Assist in monitoring General Ledger (GL) postings to ensure accurate recording of costs, revenues, and transactions.

Support intercompany reconciliation processes.

Help prepare monthly financial reports in compliance with IFRS and company reporting standards.

Assist in managing fixed assets, including data entry and depreciation tracking.

Perform basic account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts, escalating discrepancies as needed.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support process documentation.

 

HESQ Management: Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements and Know and comply with the other requirements defined in the Matrix of HESQ Responsibilities, associated with their position / role.

Profile

Education: Accountant (CPA) or related field ( in final semesters is acceptable)

Languages: Intermediate English (written and spoken).

Technical Skills:

Essential: advanced IT tools (e.g., Excel Macros, Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, complex formulas).

Desirable: SAP / HFM

Functional Knowledge: Accounting, IFRS, Finance

Essential: 1 Years Experience in similar positions.

Analytical Thinking (Foundational): Ability to work with financial data, identify basic trends, and support analysis under supervision.

Excel Proficiency (Basic to Intermediate): Comfortable using Excel for organizing data, creating tables, using formulas, and supporting financial reporting.

Effective Communication (Supportive): Can clearly share information in a professional manner and collaborate well within a team.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrates care and accuracy when reviewing data, following procedures, and completing tasks.

Problem-solving (Guided): Willing to investigate and assist in identifying issues, with support from senior team members.
