Responsibilities
Main objective: The SSC LATAM Supernumerary Analyst provides operational back-up and flexible coverage across SSC areas as required, ensuring business continuity during peaks, absences, and contingencies. The role executes transactions and controls in accordance with defined procedures, ICFR guidelines, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Main tasks:
Procure to Pay
- Verify, validate and post supplier invoices in SAP, ensuring correct coding and compliance with policies and tax requirements.
- Prepare and execute supplier payment proposals according to schedules and approval matrices.
- Process travel & expense claims and petty cash activities as applicable, ensuring timely reimbursement and correct postings.
Order to Cash
- Issue invoices, debit/credit memos and ensure correct and timely billing execution.
- Apply and clear incoming customer payments in SAP to keep Accounts Receivable up to date (posting/clearing).
Record to Report
- Post journal entries and support GL validations in SAP, ensuring correct documentation and compliance with procedures.
- Support month-end closing tasks (reconciliations, validations, reporting inputs) to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform account reconciliations (Balance Sheet and P&L) and follow up on open items until resolution.
Master Data
- Create and maintain master data objects (e.g., customers, vendors, materials, finance objects) according to requests and governance rules.
Geographic scope includes: Latin America (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Chile), North America (USA and Canada), and Trinidad and Tobago.
Cross-functional responsibilities:
- Execute assigned activities across SSC processes based on operational needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions in SAP and related tools.
- Deliver services aligned with SLAs and contribute to KPI achievement.
- Maintain effective stakeholder communication and customer service standards.
- Support documentation updates (DTPs), audits, and internal controls.
- Participate in continuous improvement, automation, and digital initiatives.
- Comply with HESQ requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
Additional Notes: Overtime and occasional weekend or holiday work may be required during peak periods or to meet business needs within regional operations.
Profile
Education: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related careers.
Work Experience: 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or shared services environments. Nice to have prior experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC).
Functional Knowledge: Essential Fundamentals of Accounting, Finance.
Technical Skills:
- Functional knowledge: accounting and financial processes; internal controls; ICFR basics.
- ERP Knowledge: SAP (FI/MM/SD).
- Microsoft Excel: intermediate to advanced (PivotTables, Power Query); VBA/macros desirable.
- Languages: Spanish (fluent) and English (intermediate to advanced).
- Desirable: Power BI, SQL, Python, scripting.
