About the Unit
The Yara North America Contrecoeur Dry Terminal is located in Contrecoeur, Quebec. It provides direct deep-water access to imported fertilizer for local markets. The terminal has 26 domes with a capacity of approx 160,000 MT and is located on the St. Lawrence Seaway and employs 13 full-time employees. The facility distributes bulk product by truck & rail, as well as provides bagging to the Industrial market
Job Overview
- Handling/filling of prilled urea bulk bags
- Manufacturing of Feed Grade
- Loading of rail cars
- Complete all manual tasks related to truck/rail car loading
- Basic maintenance tasks
- Adhere to EHS principles
- Follow SOP's and external programs
- Minimize the environmental impacts on the site with fertilizers
Responsibilities
- Filling of the bagging machine and screener using a front end loader
- Filling/weighing bags
- Loading of bags on trucks using forklift truck.
- Insure that weighing equipment is accurate
- Make sure that quality of all product is adequate as per loading list instructions
- Insure that proper order is loaded on the right truck
- Keep equipment in good order of operation
- Perform daily inspection on mobile equipment
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the bagging compound
- Avoid loss of material
- Assist yard operations when required
- Perform all tasks in respect with HES principles
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the site
- Operation of forklift, trackmobile and front end loader
- Perform daily inspection on mobile equipment
- Perform simple maintenance tasks
- Report all mechanical problem on equipment
- Assist bagging operations when required

Education, Experience & Skill
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating forklifts and loaders, valid certification is an asset
- Basic mechanical ability
- Strong safety mindset
- Team player with good communication
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

This position is located in Contrecoeur, Quebec.
Able to perform all job duties fluently in French.
