Farming Solution Manager

Responsibilities

Business Excellence and Transformation: Responsible for enabling the YFS transformation and support the improvement of Yara’s commercial performance in Mexico, be the contact point for ComEx and Comercial Tools and master data projects.

Crop and digital solutions: Responsible for supporting the development and directly launch and scale in the market new “on-farm” digital and integrated offers supporting BULA YFS Director. Support the development of new application methods and/or Digital Farming tools in the crop solution.

Responsible to assess opportunity and implement the monetization of existing digital tools and digital tools to be launched in the future, taking care of the end-to-end process (including admin aspects) from scratch. Support, in alignment with marketing, the exercise to extract value from the data collected by digital tools mostly developing marketing and communication/promotion campaign

Lead and Support, in full alignment with the commercial team, the pilots on Outcome-based business model for the Mexican market with the objective to run the implementation (from idea to plot to go-live) and assess results and scalability/replicability.

Sustainable food ecosystem: Responsible for supporting the development and directly promote and commercialize in the Mexican market offerings geared towards the food chain and the ‘beyond-farm’ ecosystem (e.g., field-to-fork connectivity). Focus in supporting and evolving existing relationship (Pepsico, Heineken, NGK, ABInbev, etc.) but also on mapping and engaging with additional player or initiatives (e.g. Vita).

Assess opportunity in the Mexican market and develop commercialization of low carbon/green and organic and organo-mineral (circular) offerings. Implement in alignment with wider commercial activities if opportunity is valuable.

Climate neutrality: Responsible for driving Yara’s Decarbonization Roadmap in the country in full alignment with the initiatives in the region. Target to enable Yara to commercialize opportunities arising during the transition towards a climate neutral company.

R&D: Responsible, in alignment and collaboration with agronomy, to support  the development of innovative Products, Services and Tools in the market bringing the commercial/field view 

Profile

- Agronomic Engineer/Specialty in Nutrition is a plus

- Alternatively MBA or Business related MS degree (combined with solid knowledge of the agri-nutrition market)

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial role in the Mexican plant nutrition market

- A minimum of 2 years in a business leadership roles handling developing and implementing strategy

- Work experience in an international business environment

- Knowledge and interaction with the food industry

Additional Information

- Strong knowledge of the agriculture Mexican market

- Commercial knowledge on Fertilizer market and distribution

- Capable to engage with global team and senior management (in Yara and outside Yara)

- Ability to deliver and collaborate in a matrix organization

- Excellent communicator, both written and oral

- Dynamic presenter with the ability to translate technical thoughts into everyday language

- Capability to develop from scratch a sound strategy for Farming Solution in Mexico and follow up with end-to-end implementation

- Ability to idealize, design and successfully implement innovation with a medium/long term time horizon

- Fluent in Spanish and English
