Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach. Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India, thereby improving the livelihood of Indian farmer. To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition Yara India’s scale of operation has grown significantly.
Responsibilities
- GST Compliance: Ensure full compliance with GST regulations including e-invoicing, e-way bills, returns, audits, and refunds. Handle GST-related litigation and train SCM and Sales teams.
- TDS/TCS Compliance: Oversee deduction, collection, and filing of TDS/TCS returns; respond to tax notices and ensure audit compliance.
- Transfer Pricing: Ensure arm’s length pricing for transactions, coordinate timely TP reports, and manage assessments and litigation.
- Direct Tax Compliance: Prepare tax schedules, manage audits and assessments, ensure timely return filing, and maintain deferred tax reporting.
- Customs Compliance: Advise SCM on customs queries, manage appeals and litigation, and ensure correct HSN classification.
- Company Secretarial Compliance: Ensure compliance with Companies Act, file statutory returns, maintain records, conduct board and general meetings, and support audits and legal documentation.
Profile
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Customs, and Company Law.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities across departments.
- Proven experience in managing audits, assessments, and litigation.
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational abilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or Company Secretary (CS) qualification required.
- Experience: 6–12 years of relevant experience in taxation, compliance, and company secretarial functions.
- Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, trading, or FMCG sectors with multi-location operations.
