Crop Nutrition Account Manager (Sales)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, commercially driven Crop Nutrition Account Manager to join our UK & Ireland team and help deliver our ambitious growth plans. The assigned sales territory for this role is North Midlands, North West England and North Wales.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in combining agronomy expertise with strong relationship‑building and strategic account management. You’ll be the trusted partner for distributors and farmers in your region, championing Yara’s full portfolio of crop nutrition products, digital tools, and services.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Develop a comprehensive area business plan, including volume targets, pricing objectives, and customer tiering
- Set quarterly goals across the full product and digital tools portfolio
- Build and execute action plans to grow new business in line with Yara’s ways of working
Customer & Account Management
- Work together with distributors to promote Yara products and services on farms, ensuring a unified and impactful market approach
- Use structured account management methodology to ensure business targets are consistently achieved
- Manage the order book accurately, ensuring alignment with allocations, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Work closely with Customer Services to resolve customer queries as well as Transport Management to ensure all logistics objectives are met
Agronomic Support & Market Engagement
- Deliver presentations to farmers, agents, and wider stakeholders to showcase Yara’s offerings
- Provide agronomic advice and support, including the use of Yara’s digital tools and decision‑support services
- Continuously gather and share market intelligence to support strategic decision‑making
- Work closely with Marketing team to shape campaigns, influence sales strategies, and enhance customer engagement
- Attend and support agricultural shows, events, and industry forums as a Yara ambassador
Profile
- A degree in Agriculture or equivalent relevant experience,
- FACTS qualification (we welcome applications from individuals willing to complete FACTS course within one year)
- At least three years of experience within the agricultural sector, ideally in a commercial, advisory, or agronomy‑focused role
- A solid understanding of the UK & Ireland fertilizer market, including legislation related to the sale, distribution, and use of fertiliser, as well as strong commercial insight into major UK distributors
- Competence across Marketing, Agronomy, and IT, with the ability to use digital tools confidently
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills as well as excellent planning and time‑management abilities
- Willingness to travel across the UK and a valid driving license
