Process Operator

About the Unit

Yara UK Limited is part of the global company Yara International ASA.

 

We are seeking a Production Operator to join our small operations team at the Immingham Liquids site where we produce and supply liquid fertilizer and liquid industrial products.

 

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, we are looking for an experienced Operator who has a high level of Health & Safety competence and awareness.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Mixing/blending of fertilizers and industrial grade materials.
  • Movement of solid raw materials on site using loading shovel.
  • Complete batch and stock recording associated with mixing and blending activities.
  • Operation of the blending and despatch systems.
  • Operation of product import, export, and storage activities. 
  • Participate fully in continuous improvement, waste elimination and operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate in the Asset Care programs
  • Conduct first line maintenance activities

Profile

  • Good standard of general education
  • Experience working in an operational environment
  • Fork-lift truck and Loading shovel licence (advantangeous, but not essential, training will be given)
  • Good knowledge of product storage, handling processes and equipment.
  • Good knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Team player and flexible approach.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
