Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. 

Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Farming unit – now Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) – 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Today, DAS has built products for smallholder and professional farmers, retailers and other farming ecosystem stakeholders across Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a growth & commercial team responsible for the commercialization and user acquisition of digital solutions in Indonesia, comprising of marketing, pricing and digital customer support.
  • Defining integrated digital offers tailored to different customers including full end to end customer success management.
  • Pricing of digital offers to secure viability across offerings.
  • Defining and implementing go-to-market strategies to best serve key regions and target farmers, as well as handling ongoing MVP’s in the market.
  • Supporting solution teams through local customer insights, needs, and user analytics
  • Collaborate with the regional leadership team, across the transformation portfolio of new revenue models, digital services, new markets, new channels.
  • End to end ownership of go-to-market strategies, compliance, commercial business case, budget and resource requirements.

Profile

  • Awareness and understanding of new digital business models and new digitally enabled business models in the crop nutrition space.
  • Insights into the dynamics of smallholder markets across Indonesia and understanding of fertilizer and ag-input business models a key upside, given the multiple interactions with the fertilizer business.
  • Experience/awareness in the commercialization of digital products and services or IoT solutions from concept through to commercial release.
  • Experience/awareness in integrating digital services and products with traditional business models in and/or in an industry with similarities to the agriculture value chain, farming, and farmer needs.
  • Previous management experience of a commercial team including multiple managers in remote locations.
