About the Unit

The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.

We are seeking ambitious and curious-minded colleagues who are keen to make a difference, whilst residing in the nearby coastal city of Karratha, Western Australia, a key community in the region with a resource focus and a relaxed, friendly lifestyle. All Karratha-based roles offered are on a residential basis, with relocation assistance provided, as well as housing – rent-free.

We are looking to engage with a range of candidates who have experience within the ammonia, energy, gas, oil, petrochemical , or similar other heavy industries, who are interested in roles such as:
-    Condition Monitoring Technician: perform condition monitoring of equipment and develop quality plans for maintenance work scopes, as well as lead mechanical technicians with rotating machinery overhauls. Minimum requirements are TAFE / CERT III or IV equivalent or Diploma, training in mechanical engineering, 10+ years experience as a mechanical technician or quality inspection role in a comparable industry (Petrochemical, Gas Processing, Oil Refining or Power Generation), +3 years experience in a condition-based maintenance role inclusive of online condition monitoring and analysis, ISO 18436 Category II Vibration Analyst, and ISO Certified Category ll Lubricant technician.
-    Reliability Engineer: provide both technical guidance and leadership, and work closely with the Reliability and Maintenance Engineers in developing and implementing site reliability strategy. Ensuring the team's performance in supporting plant operations and that risks associated with reliability issues on the plant are identified and categorised appropriately. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineering, MIAust membership, international Reliability and Asset Management Certifications, and experience in a similar industry (Petrochemical, Gas Processing or Oil Refining).
-    SAP Project Officer (E&I or Mechanical): supports the Maintenance and Procurement teams working across Ammonia, Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate production plants. This position has ownership and accountability for ensuring that the current available information in SAP is up to date and correct for the equipment installed and utilised on site. Minimum requirements are a TAFE / CERT III or IV equivalent or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, +5 years of experience in a similar industry (Petrochemical, Gas Processing or Oil Refining) in a similar/planner roles job role or Planner role, knowledge of maintenance management concepts and workflows, strong SAP skills and in-depth understanding of SAP maintenance management system, intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite experience, and an understanding of rotating and static equipment drawings and spares required for preventative and corrective maintenance.
