We are seeking a HR Assistant for a 3-month fixed-term residential role in Karratha, Western Australia on a part-time arrangement (Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays on a weekly basis. Hours are flexible). The HR Assistant supports the HR Advisor and HR Manager, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding and administration. This successful candidate is required to deliver a high quality, flexible service, be responsive to the needs of the organisation, and conduct duties in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
The primary responsibilities include:
•    Manage with the end to end recruitment process, including; reviewing and posting advertisements; screening candidate applications; scheduling interviews; reference checks; booking medicals and requesting psychometric tests. 
•    Arranging site visits.
•    Maintain employee and housing trackers 
•    Support the employee on-boarding process, including; liaising with new employees about their first day on site, scheduling inductions and ordering uniforms. 
•    Support the relocation process for new employees 
•    Employee Support - Respond to employee queries in a timely manner 
•    Publish letters and documentation
•    Assist with the termination/resignation process and employee offboarding
•    Provide assistance to site events
•    Support HR Advisor and HR Manager 
•    HR Projects as directed by the HR Advisor/Manager
•    Assist in managing the probationary review process 
•    Processing invoices and raising Purchase Orders in SAP 
•    File management, electronic and hard copy 
•    Administrative tasks 
•    Other duties as directed by the HR Advisor or HR Manager

  • Certificate IV in Human Resource Management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is desirable.
  • Minimum five years relevant experience in HR/recruitment , ideally within the petrochemical or resources sector
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Computerized Human Resource Management System
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Fluent English is essential
