About the Unit
The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.

Responsibilities
Looking for an exciting new challenge? Yara are seeking applications for a HR Business Parter, this is a Karratha based role, however, for the right candidate this role can be Perth based. If, Perth based the successful candidate will regularly travel to Karratha (at least monthly, up to 5 days). Reporting to the HR Manager, as senior member of the HR department, the HR Business Partner leads a small team of HR professionals. The HR Business Partner is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, flexible service, responsive to the needs of the organisation, and in line with legislative requirements and best practice. Through partnering with Line Leaders within the organisation to support the delivery of HR strategy and fostering a positive work culture, to support the overall success of the organisation.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Support the HR Manager in leading the HR function, including:
- HR Strategies and HR Projects
- Performance Management & Leadership Development
- Workforce & Succession Planning
- Remuneration and Benefits Management
- Oversee the Employment Lifecycle
- Budgeting and Cost Control
- Employee Relations / Industrial Relations
- Develop, update and implementation HR procedures and practices to align with legislative requirements, industry best practices and Yara International guidelines.
- Work closely with the Recruitment team on talent acquisition.
- Prepare, review and approve HR documentation, including contracts, letters and forms.
- Develop, communicate, and provide ongoing advice on HR policies, procedures.
- Lead investigations and disciplinary matters.
- Partner with Line Leaders to provide ongoing HR advice and support.
- Employee relations and assistance.
- Complete regular audits as well as regulatory, external and internal reporting.
- Lead a small team of HR Professionals.
- Contribute to workshops / training in areas of HR and Leadership for Yara leaders.
- Facilitate community initiatives.
- Review and audit systems, procedures, resources and providers as part of continuous improvement for cost efficiency and quality.
- Immigration support for International Assignees and International Recruitment.
- Oversee and support the payroll processes.
- Culture champion for site.
- Support leaders in promoting a psychologically safe environment with a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) and employee well-being.

Profile
Required:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR or related subject.
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, within the heavy industry or manufacturing sector.
- Minimum 5 Year experience leading a team.
- Proven experience managing workplace conflict and leading investigations.
- Understanding of remote work dynamics and challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive HR strategies.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
