Sales Agronomist

Yara Limited is duly registered company under the Laws of Rwanda as a subsidiary of Yara Tanzania Limited also a subsidiary of Fertilizers Holdings AS, headquartered in Norway.  We trade in importation and sale of fertilizers in Rwanda. The aim is developing a market concept that increases the number of farmers who use fertilizer in Rwanda including better knowledge in crop nutrition, improved distribution  and  logistics.

Yara Limited was established and started operations in Rwanda in 2015 and has grown to become among leading input companies supplying the Government subsidy scheme with specific crop programs as well as offering capacity building programs to farmers.

Responsibilities

1. Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

2. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans through support of Commercial Manager to penetrate the assigned markets.

3. Train Distributors, Agro-Dealers and Partners on Yara Products, benefits and sales

4. Organize and follow-up demo trials and field days together with Distributors and Partners to promote Yara products.

5. Proactively inform Commercial Manager about commercial and technical development of Yara Distributors under his (her) area of responsibility while collecting information of potential new Distributors.

6. Report monthly sales forecast information from customers, in order to build the Yara business in the assigned market including total sales forecast and business plan.

7. Together with Marketing and Commercial Manager, participate in Agri-Fairs and assist customers that visit Yara booths.

8. Support Agronomy department in preparation of crop programs to be offered and promoted to Distributors in the area of responsibility for key crops in that region.

9. Build and maintain relationship with customer Coordinate with Commercial Manager and Technical agronomist to conduct the Agronomic activities.

10. Support Commercial Manager control expenses for the assigned market to meet budget guidelines.

Profile

  1. Bachelor of Science in Agronomy.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Agronomist in a multinational Organization.
  3. Excellent technical agronomic skills.
  4. Good interpersonal skills with fluency in both Kinyarwanda, French and English languages.

Additional Information

  2. Willingness to relocate and travel extensively upcountry.
  3. Excellent computer skills (advanced microsoft office applications)
  4. Vehicle driving licence (manual gear)
