Sales Account Manager

Yara Iberian is an important milestone in the Region of Europe and is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented candidate to take responsibility for Yara’s product lines and sales activity with experience as sales account manager, preferable from the agricultural sector, and have the ability to develop and execute the commercial policy to establish and maintain profitable, long- term market positions.

To strengthen our team, we are recruiting an

Experienced (+ 5 years) Sales Account Manager

Reporting in the Sales Department, the candidate should be a Sales Ag Engineer with a deep knowledge of the extensive & intensive crop sector in the Iberian Peninsula.


  • Analyze market, detect opportunities and execute sales in order to accomplish agreed targets in terms of volume and contribution.
  • Manage the retail distributor network in the territory and develop the entire Yara product portfolio
  • Collaborate regularly with marketing & agronomy team by executing the marketing effort in the area, ensuring implementation of value propositions by crop and development of new revenue models and complete solutions´ concept. 
  • Implement promotional activities to develop local agricultural market, for example through meetings with farmers and distributors and writing reports for technical publications.
  • Report market intelligence information from the area of responsibility  on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that 'Best Practice' is used in relation to all Yara business interests.
  • Promote and ensure a culture that complies with Yara values, Yara’s global standard for efficient, safe and secure operations, as well as encourage and monitor compliance with Yara’s Code of Conduct towards customers, suppliers, partners, employees and the wider society.


  • Agricultural engineering degree. Other university degrees are accepted if demonstrated +5 years of experienced in the Ag industry.
  • Minimum +5 years sales experience in the Ag industry. Knowledge of plant nutrition at all levels and segments is highly valued.
  • Strong commercial skills and keen interest in developing long-term market positions
  • Good knowledge of general IT tools
  • Strong ability of decision making and execution
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Curious, proactive and taking initiatives 
  • Ambitious, committed and flexible 
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the territory and beyond
  • Languages: good command of Spanish. High level of English
  • Home based office in the territory.
