HESQ Specialist

Responsibilities

In cooperation with local operations team/local managers develop and manage safety plans and  procedures for application of the tools and programs, to contribute in the integral management of risk related to HESQ for the Yara site.

-Ensure implementation of the Safe by Choice program and monitor progress.

- Ensure that Yara’s Golden Rules and Safety Management Principles for YSM Sites are fully understood, communicated and adhered to.

- Support compliance with, and enforcement of, all relevant HESQ procedures, safe systems of work, Yara TOPS & HOPS, and regulatory requirements.

- Do and Participate in Risk Assessment and Process Safety Evaluations.

- Ensure that any and all modifications, improvements or changes are fully considered within the context of change management – all such activities to be carried out according to the protocols set out within local Project and Change Management Procedures.

- Enforce the correct use of all necessary PPE, safety equipment and designated work wear.

- Ensure that any safety related incidents, accidents, environmental breaches or near-misses are reported immediately and that details are accurately recorded.

- Carry out Safety Walks and WOC’s at the agreed frequency and participate in any other form of safety audit or inspection as and when required.

Profile

Degree in Engineering, HESQ or another relevant field; required  especific HESQ Experience.

 

 Minimum  3 years of HESQ experience.

- Understanding Yara Global strategy  and processes.

- Strength in Safety Training Facilitation skills.
