About the Position
The Senior HR Advisor People Services is a key partner in delivering high-quality, data driven and locally relevant HR support to employees and line managers The role ensures consistent execution of HR policies and processes and manages complex employee data changes and position management in Yara PeoplePath (YPP), while supporting the full employee lifecycle.
As a senior member of the team, the advisor handles more complex HR cases, provides guidance to colleagues, and acts as a point of escalation for operational issues. The focus is on enabling smooth, compliant, and people-focused HR service delivery across the region. The People Services team covers four main services, namely Core HR Services, HR Reporting and Analytics Services, Global Mobility Coordination and Digitalization & Governance. The service delivery of Core HR Services responds to regional language needs and will be provided in six regional languages apart from English (German, Finnish, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish).
Responsibilities
- Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR matters, ensuring timely, accurate service, while providing clear, locally relevant HR content such as policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, HR policies, and GDPR, including secure and policy-compliant data handling, storage, and e-archiving of employee records.
- Stakeholder & Team Collaboration: Coordinate with HR teams, Digital Technology (DT), Global Operations, and Centers of Expertise to deliver services efficiently.
- Ensure HR systems (e.g., ServiceNow HR Portal, SAP Successfactor) are up to date, running smoothly, and maintain a high level of data quality.
- Use analytics and dashboards to support managers with data driven decision on ongoing initiatives and activities
- Assist the Global Mobility team by managing international assignment data and supporting expatriates with practical and policy-related matters.
- Drive Continuous Improvement byt identifying opportunities to streamline and harmonize HR processes, improve service delivery, and contribute to operational excellence.
- Content Management & Communication: Translate, update, and publish HR content (e.g., policies, guidelines) and internal communications for employees and managers.
Profile
- Degree-level education with minimum 5 years of senior-level HR experience, with proven ability to handle complex HR issues and advise on policy and compliance matters.
- Strong expertise in Italian labour law, including application and interpretation of National Collective Labour Contracts
- Experience in managing union relations, including negotiations, agreements, and handling of employee representation matters in Italy
- Familiarity with GDPR, HR compliance, and employment legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, optimize processes, and promote cross-team collaboration.
- Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (HR Service Delivery module) is a plus; experience with ServiceNow or SharePoint is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify and visualize complex data to support data-driven decision making.
- Fluent in English and Italian; additional proficiency in German, Finnish, French, or Spanish is a plus.
