About the Unit

To help us achieve Yara’s ambitions, the Digital Core Solutions (DCS) unit is building digital solutions to optimize our core operations across multiple domains – including sustainability & traceability, production and sales & marketing domains.  

The vision for Digital Sustainability & Traceability (DST) is to deliver innovative digital solutions in Yara’s core business that enable Yara to deliver on its key strategic goal of growing a Nature-Positive Food Future.

About the role

We are currently hiring a Digital Business Analyst to join the Green Ammonia and Carbon Footprint team, under Digital Sustainability and Traceability.  

Within Green Ammonia and Carbon Footprint, you will work with the delivery of innovative digital solutions to enable Yara to reach its sustainability goals. Particular focus is on enabling a solid tracking system for Yara’s production of green ammonia and green fertilizers, as well as on workstreams related to the reduction of carbon footprint and commercialization of green and low carbon footprint products.  

As a Digital Business Analyst you will be working closely together with the Product Managers and support them on all activities from identifying business needs, defining product strategy and execution of product development. You will be part of the Digital Sustainability and Traceability Team and report to the Program Manager, Green Ammonia and Carbon Footprint. You will co-ordinate with a wide range of stakeholders across the company. 

You can be located in Brussels, Oslo, Berlin, Vlaardingen/Rotterdam or Porsgrunn. This role is on a hybrid model. 

What you will be doing

 

  • Support the product team in defining the product strategy based on business needs, support and promote stakeholder alignment 
  • Analyze, map and document business process flows from the digital transformation perspective, identifying potential gaps and opportunities for the digital solutions and capture "To-Be'' state of the process after the new process/technology solution introduction and/or transformation; contribute to the business cases development 
  • Actively contribute to the business case development and submit other relevant inputs (e.g. risk analysis matrix, blueprint, personas, etc.) in decision gate materials, perform benefit calculations and measure the realized output 
  • Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and other discovery activities to identify, document and deliver requirements/user stories from stakeholders, support building product backlog and setting acceptance criteria 
  • Create communication and training materials, foster product adoption by the business, raise awareness, understanding, and buy-in 
  • Support product implementation and change management needs, explore and follow-up on the opportunities for further product enhancements, provide insights for further product development and enhancement 

What you will bring

 

  • BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and a proven work experience in digital product development, industrial technology development, value chain, operations improvements, or similar  
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and Lean methodology  
  • Experience working as part of a product development team with a proven track record in digital product design and delivery  
  • Quick and curious learner, a team player with a strong interest in delivering nature-positive sustainability solutions  
  • You like to explore how technology can solve real business problems  
  • Experience working in complex stakeholder environments and solid communication skills, ability to challenge ideas and views of stakeholders in a cross-cultural work environment  
  • Fluent in English
