Business Architect Source to Pay

We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.

About the role

The Business Architecture function helps business leaders to enable their future-state business capabilities that, in turn, drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes through the choice of initiatives the organization choose to invest in. The team of business architects is set up to cover the current business processes in Yara as mapped in the Process Classification Framework (PCF).

We are looking for three Value Stream Architects to complete the team of business architect of the e.nable program:

•    Source to pay

These three Valuestream Business Architects are part of the Business Architecture team in YPD - Digital Transformation Enablement, and they will be fully dedicated to the e.nable program.

They will be working closely with the corresponding business process owners and managers to build strong cross-functional teams. They will also collaborate closely within the various programs and platforms, with the project teams and with the larger organization - connect to global and regional technology units in order to enable the organization to plan, design, innovate, orchestrate, facilitate, navigate and operationalize the digital enterprise.

What you will be doing

The overarching responsibility of the Business Architect is to develop the Business  Capability Map (BCM) for the respective value stream area in line with the business strategy. With the BCM in place, then ensure continuous dialogue between the tech stack architects in order to define the optimum technical architecture. And finally, lead a continuous dialogue with the business and digital/tech stakeholders to deliver the BCM. This dialogue will be supported by defining the business architecture advisory process, core business architecture process, and architecture review and governance, and by leading the integration of those processes with related business and tech functions and processes.

Program / project initiation:

•    Plan and manage the execution of the valuestream taxonomy and standards
−    Lead the re-design of the Enterprise Structure, ensuring the right business stakeholders are involved and the decisions made are anchored as a program standard.
−    Determine which components in the valuestream process area standards need to be developed on the program level and document these standards in collaboration with other business architects, enterprise architects and relevant Business Process Owners.
•    Build in-depth knowledge of the best practice processes that will form the basis of Yara’s reference model. Where gaps exist, document these and propose mitigating actions.
•    Establish relationships with the Business Process Owners (both global and regional) and other Business and Enterprise Architects and ensure a complete collaboration towards one common roadmap
•    Provide input in the process performance benchmark of current Yara business processes and define business process improvements.
•    Contribute to and lead the development of the overall roadmap
•    Define the right solution/application architecture linked to the processes, ensuring adherence to not only processes but technology set forward by the program and enterprise architecture

Project realization :
•    Mobilize the valuestream within the project
•    Onboard workstream resources and educate them on the guiding principles, standards and best practices for the valuestream
•    Responsible for ensuring adoption of the reference model and monitoring to identify gaps and deviations
•    Support mitigation activities required to close gaps and to allow adoption of the business process
•    Review business processes variations and deviations and add them into Yara reference model/architecture thus maturing the reference model
•    Facilitate continuous alignment between Business Process Owners and Solution Architects

What you will bring

•    Master’s degree in business, information systems or related discipline or equivalent and extensive related project experience; MBA preferred
•    Several years of business or digital/technology experience with direct responsibility for architecture, business analytics, and program management
•    Self-starter who is comfortable both on the strategic as well as the operational level.
•    Proven domain expertise related to the valuestream
•    Hands-on experience with industry platforms with multiple full life cycle implementations or complex integration projects with end-2-end process scenarios
•    Experienced in managing diverse teams
•    Experience in cross-application business process modelling and integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively internally and externally
•    Demonstrates hands-on knowledge of Software development SDLC methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile)
•    Manages ambiguity well. Has a global outlook and develops local expertise while operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
•    Relationship builder and capable of functioning with only limited oversight.
•    Demonstrates strong listening, communications, alliance-building, negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills
•    Able to drive decision-making based on consent in a highly complex setting with a high number of diverse decision-makers
•    Ability and willingness to travel
