About the Unit

Yara is a global company operating in more than 160 countries and employing more than 17,000 individuals – all working hard to fulfill our mission of responsibly feeding the world and protecting the planet. Being the world’s leading crop nutrition company, Yara is also the world's largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs. Our Production segment, with 26 productions sites globally, is thus an integral building block for delivering on our mission. We are now elevating our focus on digital solutions to help us achieve this ambition.

To lead this effort, we are ramping up our global Digital Production team. We believe our operational data in combination with digital technologies can help us to significantly improve the performance of our production facilities. We are currently developing a digital platform that will ensure uniform data access to all our production facilities. On top of the digital platform we are also developing scalable, solid and user-friendly digital products that will help our employees at the sites, or in global functions, improve the efficiency and safety at production operations. Our unit is responsible end-to-end for the impact of the digital products, which means that we establish the vision, develop, and deploy the products at the production sites.

We are organized around five solution areas, and each solution area consists of multiple digital products.

  • Plant Steering. Bringing production optimization in terms of throughput, energy consumption, product quality and emissions to control room operators, process engineers or production plant management.
  • Digital Operations. Enabling a digital workforce with technology, and information to continuously improve work processes and safe operations
  • Digital Reliability. Empowering people with actionable data anywhere, anytime to protect and continuously eliminate sources of threats for asset reliability
  • Engineering. Enable engineers with tools and data to design and deliver assets more efficiently and in a way that enables digital in the future
  • Mining & Robotics. Provide solutions for planning and operating our mines to improve yield e.g. through autonomous fleet management

As Lead DevOps Engineer you will have a unique opportunity to take lead and establish a modern environment for development and operations, including a state-of-art release and deployment pipeline.
