About the role


To help us achieve Yara’s ambitions, the Digital Core Solutions (DCS) unit is building digital solutions to optimize our core operations across 3 domains: sustainability & traceability, production and sales & marketing.  


We are currently hiring a Program Manager – Green Ammonia & Carbon Footprint to join the Digital Sustainability and Traceability domain. 


The vision for Digital Sustainability & Traceability (DST) is to deliver innovative digital solutions in Yara’s core business that enable Yara to deliver on its key strategic goal of growing a Nature-Positive Food Future. 


As Program Manager Green Ammonia and Carbon Footprint you will have a unique opportunity to take the lead in shaping how we support our business through the delivery of these new and innovative solutions that enable our new green ammonia business and verify the carbon footprint of current and future sustainable products. You will be part of the Digital Sustainability and Traceability Management Team and report to Director, Digital Sustainability & Traceability. 


The role is open in the following locations (hybrid model): Oslo, Brussels, Vlaardingen - Rotterdam, Berlin.

What you will be doing


  • Explore, define and execute on the digital strategy across Green Ammonia and Carbon Footprint areas in Yara. 
  • Develop and implement innovative digital sustainability roadmaps to support Yara´s progress towards its nature positive carbon goal. 
  • Work closely together with key stakeholders to deliver solutions that enable current and new business and that are delivered on an appropriate timeline. 
  • Responsible for program delivery, internal reporting, and managing inputs from multiple product teams. 
  • Build strategic relationships with suppliers and external and internal partners. 
  • Attract, retain and develop a highly capable and international product team. 

What you will bring


  • MSc/PhD in relevant discipline
  • Several years of experience in areas such as sustainability, chemical engineering or information technologies.
  • Successful track record of building and leading high performing digital teams and leading program development from idea to execution.
  • Experience obtaining, managing, and analyzing carbon data.
  • A strong interest in delivering nature positive sustainability solutions.
  • Experience working with complex stakeholder in an international environment
  • Solid communication skills
