About the Unit
As a dynamic and talented Agronomy Specialist, you will provide technical expertise and agronomic insights to strengthen Yara’s value proposition in France.
Your role is to design crop nutrition programs, lead agronomic trials, interact with R&D and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions for farmers and distributors.
This position covers all crops but with a special focus on high-value crops, driving growth and sustainability in these segments.
Responsibilities
Lead Agronomic Trials:
- Define and prioritize R&D trials.
- Design and organize all relevant synthesis to be shared to Sales, Marketing and EU stakeholders.
- Manage long-term trials with strong protocols, replication, and statistical analysis.
- Main scope of trials : Nutrients used efficiency, Biologicals and Biostimulants protocol, regenerative agriculture programme (decarbonation, fertigation, soil health..)
Develop Crop Nutrition Programs:
- Design technical and economically viable solutions for farmers to achieve yield, quality, and sustainability goals.
- Design technical crop programme for distributors, food chain partner combining products aligned with the sales strategy and tools & services adapted to the crops.
- Adapt programs to specialty and industrial crops based on farmer practices and Yara’s portfolio.
- Own the crop roadmap France
- Capability to analyze farmer & crop panel data and make actionable for building a “crop intelligence knowledge”
Support Commercial Activities:
- In collaboration with commercial, coordinate demonstration fields to showcase Yara’s value-added products.
- Provide agronomic accuracy in marketing materials and commercial arguments.
- Participate in field days, national events, customer meetings, and training sessions.
Digital Agronomy Activities:
- Support the definition and deployment of our tools and services and be the agronomical technical stamp of our solutions.
- Train and support our sales and marketing team in all initiatives where tools & services can leverage business opportunities.
- Be the local hot-line when it comes to agronomic advice.
Knowledge Sharing & Representation:
- Share insights within Yara networks.
- Train sales & marketing internal team with agronomical argumentations.
- Represent Yara at technical events, conferences, national committees
- Represent Yara in national influencer bodies, technical lobbying forums
Profile
Education: Ingenieur Agri/Agro
Experience:
- Min 1-5 years in agronomy, crop nutrition, or agricultural R&D.
- Commercial field experience is a plus
- Knowledge of specialty and industrial crops (vegetables, fruits, potatoes, sugar beet, etc.).
Skills:
- Positive spirit
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex agronomic concepts clearly.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with sales and marketing teams.
Languages: Fluent French and good standard of English.
Mobility: Willingness to travel across France for trials and customers (Distributor, Prescriptors, Farmers) event
