We’re now seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to join our Perth team on a 15-month fixed-term contract who thrives on turning numbers into narratives and dashboards into decisions.
This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO, with a focus on delivering insightful analysis, driving forecasting accuracy, and shaping the management reporting process across our operations.
Your Mission
Use digital tools like Power BI to deliver forward-looking cost insights, performance analytics, and financial stewardship across our manufacturing and capital operations. You’ll be the bridge between finance and operations, translating data into stories that drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
· Cost & Performance Analytics: Dive deep into cost drivers, variances, and efficiency opportunities. Build visual stories that inspire action.
· Digital Tools & Automation: Automate reporting, build interactive dashboards, and champion data visualisation best practices.
· Month-End & Forecasting: Support close processes and ensure reporting is tailored, timely, and impactful. Coordinate the annual budget process and challenge assumptions to ensure robust planning
· Capital & Operational Finance: Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure financial discipline and value realization.
· Compliance & Controls: Maintain high standards of financial governance and data integrity.
· Continuous Improvement: Streamline workflows and enhance analytical capabilities using digital tools.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Be a trusted advisor to operations, engineering, and procurement teams.
Who You Are
· CPA/CA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
· 5+ years’ experience in FP&A or similar roles in high-volume environments.
· A Power BI pro with a passion for storytelling through data.
· Skilled in SAP (especially CO, PP, GL), comfortable navigating complex financial systems, financial modelling, and management reporting.
· A collaborative communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments with a knack for turning numbers into stories
· Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
· Ready to travel quarterly to Karratha and contribute to a global mission.
