The Yara plant in Poppendorf not only has production capacity for more than 1.8 million tons of nitrate fertilizers as well as other chemical products, it is also one of the most modern and innovative production sites in the Yara Group and the region.

We are looking for a Digitalization / Automation engineer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities

 

The digitalization/automation engineer, who is referred to as the digital transformation engineer (DTE), plays an integral role in the YARA Group's production strategy, where digital transformation is a key component. We are therefore looking for a digitalization / automation engineer to accelerate the introduction of digital tools at Yara Rostock. You will also take a leading role in driving the interlinked transformation of how we work.

 

Responsibility:

 

  • Site contact point for the central Digital Production team 
  • Drive execution of digital roadmap for the site, in close collaboration with Plant Management and Digital Production team / E.nable Team. Plan and secure required local resources. 
  • Identify digital improvement opportunities
  • Participate in development of digital products
  • Actively communicate and support required change management

Profile

 

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Solid experience from plant operations or plant maintenance / automation
  • Knowledge of project management desirable
  • Strong ability to communicate and influence decision makers
  • Conceptual thinker capable of sketching what a future reality can look like
  • Personal interest in digital
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Willingness to work across departments and contributing to the teamspirit
  • Not afraid of ambiguity and change
  • Willingness to work in an international environment and to travel for some extended periods 
  • Fluent in English
