  • Assure Technical, Process Safety and Major-Risk Controls
Provide oversight and independent assurance of the mechanisms used to demonstrate compliance with applicable engineering codes, technical standards, asset-integrity requirements, process-safety standards, and corporate technical requirements. Technical authority and engineering accountability remain with the designated functional owners. Provide assurance over critical controls associated with major accident hazards, process safety, asset integrity, operating discipline, emergency preparedness and other material operational risks.
  • Oversee Management-System Compliance and Certification
Coordinate assurance for applicable ISO, corporate and management systems, including audit readiness, findings and corrective actions.
  • Assure People and Competency Compliance
Verify arrangements for competency, mandatory training, authorization, certification and workforce compliance, in collaboration with HR/functional owners.
  • Coordinate Audit, Assurance and Regulatory Activities
Coordinate audits, regulatory inspections, corporate reviews and certification activities to reduce duplication, strengthen preparedness and integrate outcomes.
  • Govern Findings and Corrective Actions
Establish governance for recording, assigning, tracking, escalating and verifying closure of findings, non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Identify Systemic and Emerging Compliance Risks
Analyse assurance results, findings, incidents, regulatory developments and trends to identify systemic weaknesses and emerging risks and escalate material concerns.

  • Support Regulatory and External Assurance Engagement
Coordinate assurance-related engagement with regulators, certification bodies, corporate assurance functions and other stakeholders.
  • Promote Compliance Culture and Continuous Improvement
