Director Biologicals Americas

About the Unit
Drive and strengthen Yara Americas’ Biologicals business by shaping strategic direction, enabling market execution, and building capabilities that accelerate growth across the region. This role ensures alignment with Yara’s global Biologicals strategy while capturing market opportunities and delivering value for farmers, partners, and Yara’s regional P&L.
You will lead the regional Biologicals agenda by coordinating with commercial, marketing, and product development teams; prioritizing portfolio needs; and ensuring consistency in regional execution. Through strong stakeholder engagement, proactive problem‑solving, and cross‑regional collaboration, you will help grow Yara position within the biological business.
The position reports to the SVP Innovation Americas and may be located in any Americas location.
Responsibilities
• Develop and oversee the biologicals strategy for Yara Americas, ensuring full alignment with global priorities and market needs.
• Lead the execution of the Americas Biologicals Growth Plan, ensuring delivery against key milestones and objectives.
• Collaborate with the markets to integrate biologicals into commercial plans, ensuring strong value creation and commercial impact.
• Aggregate market insights to define regional portfolio priorities and guide new product development.
• Maintain strong collaboration with the global product development team to ensure alignment on the pipeline, timelines, and innovation needs.
• Support markets in identifying opportunities to expand adoption of biologicals solutions through clear positioning, differentiation, and demand‑generation efforts.
• Identify gaps in go‑to‑market capabilities and support markets in building effective plans and execution models.
• Ensure marketing and technical activities are aligned with regional and global strategic plans.
• Support operational optimization across key biologicals sites such as Sumaré and Howden to ensure efficiency and readiness for scale.
• Act as the regional subject‑matter expert for Biologicals, providing guidance to markets and internal stakeholders.
• Promote best practices, facilitate learning sessions, and strengthen collaboration across countries.
• Assess capability needs and support the design of training programs to elevate technical and commercial biologicals competencies.
Profile
• Academic degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the biologicals market (commercial, marketing, product development, or technical roles).
• Proven background in value‑based sales and commercial leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Solid understanding of plant physiology and biological products; microbial knowledge is a strong asset.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work proactively in a matrix organization.
• Highly organized with strong self‑management skills.
• Understanding of sustainability, technology, and innovation trends in agriculture.
• Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese are strong advantages.
• Willingness to travel across the Americas region.
• Experience working across cultures and geographies to ensure alignment and execution efficiency.
