Environmental Legal Specialist

The legal department of Yara Brasil is responsible for the management of all legal issues of the company, such as tax, civil, labor, credit and collection, contracts, environmental, regulatory, among others. The main characteristic of the department is the condition of business partner of the most varied internal clients, acting both from a preventive / consulting and a litigation point of view.


  • Provide advice on environmental (including licensing), mining and regulatory law;
  • Represent the company on legal issues involving federal, state and municipal laws and regulations;
  • Liaise with clients to ensure proper understanding of applicable laws and regulations;
  • Draft pleadings and other documents, negotiate agreements with government agencies and defend cases in and out of court;
  • Act proactively to ensure that Yara complies with all applicable laws and regulations.


  • Spirit of collaboration, protagonism, curiosity, sense of ownership and respect for differences.    
  • Undergraduate degree in Law.
  • Postgraduate degree in Law and Environmental.
  • Relevant experience in Regulatory and Environmental law.
  • Expertise in mining law.
  • Fluent English level.
