Region Africa and Asia produces, sells, and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa region with offices location and operational units in 19 countries. We sell a broad range of quality products to all segments in agriculture, produce and sale ammonia and TAN from our Australian unit mainly to industrial customers, reaching a total volume of 6 million tons per year. The region employs 1600 employees across the 19 countries. Yara has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concepts to increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.


The position will be part of the finance team, reporting to the Accounting Manager in Singapore.  



This role performs accounting activities including:

  • Procure-to-Pay process: outgoing payments, AP invoices and foreign currency payments according to agreed processes and to company policies.
  • Order-to-Cash process: AR incoming payments processing, AR / intercompany invoicing according to agreed processes and company policies.
  • Record-to-Report process: processing journal entries and allocations, maintaining general ledger, processing payroll entries and T&E postings, processing FA entries, processing intercompany transactions, entries and reconciliations, executing indirect tax accounting entries, and processing period-end activities.
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules.
  • Ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.



  • Degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Relevant 3 to 5 years of working experience in accounting, preferably including experience working with MNC. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for an entry-level role                 
  • Good Knowledge of IFRS. 
  • Proficient Excel skills and experience with SAP, Sun and HFM will be an added advantage
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and respond to problems, issues, and opportunities
  • Ability to perform against tight timelines.
  • Able to work well in a team, and with people of different cultures.
  • Accuracy in recording of financial transactions and attention to detail is essential
