Application Expert, Technical

About the Unit

Information Technology across Yara has embarked on a transformation journey. Ambitions are to enable Yara’s growth and digital ambitions, improve the collaboration work between IT and Business, develop a faster and nimbler IT and install pride inside IT. 

We are looking for an Application Expert (Technical) combining business drive and technical know-how to manage a diversified portfolio of applications related to the Sales & Marketing business area. The current solution supports 400+ users and 20+ business units spread in Africa, Asia and Oceania. 
They are today supported by the version 6.3 of the INFOR SunSystems and version 10.1 of the INFOR PMQA reporting application. 

The position is in the Sales & Marketing Department within IT and reports to the BU IT Head, Asia.  This is a local position, based in Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with vendors in management of integration between applications in a multi outsourced providers environment
  • Support Architecture and Standards in new solution design. implementation and integration to business as usual activities
  • Interact with external service providers in planning, delivery and control of application maintenance and development activities
  • Ensure capability to support high levels of performance, availability and reliability for application software and interfaces
  • Identify and recommend improvement initiatives to increase application performance and utilization efficiency 
  • Manage application changes, routine upgrades, technical patching, release management performed by external providers 
  • Coordination of software packaging and distribution
  • Monitor adherence to application standards and escalate application standard template change request and deviations to standards
  • Manage and perform application preventative, corrective and operative maintenance and minor enhancements

 

Profile

•    Minimum 3 years of technical experience in desktop/server/network administration as well as software packaging and deployment.
•    Strong ERP system understanding and familiar with RPA. Knowledge of SunSystems is an advantage 
•    Proven track record of IT operation coordination and project/change coordination in large companies and outsourced environment.
•    Additional experience in ITIL processes is a plus
•    Basic knowledge of coding and programming (VBA, SQL, html/xml)
•    Working experience with Alteryx and Power BI an advantage
•    Assertiveness, communication, customer and service oriented, able to adapt speech/behaviour to the audience 
•    Structured and organized, combined with good level of coordination and communication skills
•    Ability to work independently, defining targets and prioritizing tasks in a demanding environment
•    Analytical, team-player, proactive and highly committed
•    English (fluent, written and spoken) 
•    Self-learning and self-leadership skills
•    Previous Agile experience preferred

•    Full time equivalent function.
•    Working location: Singapore
•    Require some travel mobility.
