Associate Data Analyst, Retailer Connectivity

About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.


  • Be the additional point of contact for all product/consumer analytics with clear understanding of the product and business needs (YaraConnect team)
  • Mine and analyze raw data (all forms) using SQL/Python or standard tools and produce trends that are backed by statistics using standard visualization tools / libraries, to develop understanding of Yara's retailers and farmers
  • Own and manage all instrumentation of clickstream events definition. Develop, maintain automate various reporting / ETL process required to build insights using appropriate tools with documentation adequate for other team's perusal
  • Interpret and present data with all potential assumptions, risks, limitations etc. and clearly lay out the aspects in for non-data people to understand
  • Manage and update stakeholders in terms of status of analysis, deliverables, data products and provide basic project management support


  • Hands-on experience in Data and Product Analytics (data processing,  data mining with a wide variety of data and formats, segmentation, modelling, experimentation, etc..)
  • Advanced SQL/PL writing skills and experience in querying large relational databases. Able to code in Python, use advanced Excel functionalities and other analytics toolsets including various reporting tools
  • Ability to distill data and articulate an actionable point of view to non-technical audiences and stakeholders using presentations, interactive visualizations, et al.
  • Comfortable working with our tools: AWS, Jira, GitLab
  • Aligned with our principles: agile, customer-centric, lean, service-oriented architecture, self-organization, transparency.
